Common scams

Fake calls

Someone claims to be from your insurer or IRDAI and offers a huge bonus, a policy upgrade, or threatens cancellation. They ask for your policy number, KYC, or an OTP.

Fake KYC requests

A WhatsApp message or SMS asks you to update KYC via a link. The link opens a form that harvests your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank details.

Fake payment links

A 'renewal' or 'refund' link asks you to pay via UPI to a personal number. Real insurers never ask for payment on a personal UPI.

Fake surveyor

After an accident, someone offers to inflate your claim in exchange for a cut. This is a criminal offence and can void your entire claim.

How to protect yourself

Six rules to follow.

Never share OTP, PAN, or Aadhaar over a call
Real communication from Insuremile never asks for payment on personal UPI
Always verify a link matches insuremile.in or your insurer's official domain
When in doubt, call Insuremile before responding
Never sign a blank claim form
